Barcelona 14/05/2011 - In an interview with Executive Excellence magazine, John de Zulueta, President of the USP Hospitals group and former Director and President of Sanitas, highlighted the importance of personalized medicine in USP's development and vision for the future.
 
Mr de Zulueta in particular praised the key role of USP Dexeus' medical oncology department, under the direction of Dr Rafael Rosell, in achieving this vision, with its active search for genetic signatures which contribute vital information regarding individual patients' responses to treatment with targeted drugs. He said that USP's goal is to become the benchmark for cancer treatment within Europe and a world leader in in vitro treatment response diagnostics and the development of innovative anti-cancer drugs.
